Yantis Family Endowment – Supporting the Next Generation of Artists

The Yantis Family Endowment at the Brownwood Lyric Theatre provides vital support for the Lyric’s internship program—an initiative dedicated to training and inspiring the next generation of theatre artists and leaders.

For over 20 years, the Lyric Performing Arts Company has welcomed more than 100 interns from theatre programs across the country. These students come to Brownwood to learn the art and craft of theatre in a hands-on, community-centered environment. Many of our alumni continue careers in the arts today, and it is common to see them actively enriching their own communities through creative expression and service.

Established in 2025 by Ed & Ren Yantis and their family, this endowment reflects a deep, personal commitment to the Lyric and its mission. Having experienced firsthand the transformative impact of theatre—and specifically the Lyric’s program—the Yantis family has invested both onstage and behind the scenes to ensure these opportunities continue for future generations.

The Lyric Performing Arts Company is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, and all contributions to this endowment are tax-deductible. Upon making your gift, you will receive a confirmation email for your records.

Your support helps shape lives, build community, and keep the arts thriving.

Thank you for your generosity.

Humfeld Stage at the Brownwood Lyric Theatre

Humfeld Stage at the Brownwood Lyric Theatre

The Lyric Performing Arts Company’s Board of Directors has made a meaningful decision: to name our stage the Humfeld Stage in recognition of the significant contributions of the Humfeld family and Dr. Nancy Jo Humfeld. We are committed to ensuring the financial sustainability of the Lyric and the continued vibrancy of our programs. To this end, we have set a goal of $100,000 to fund necessary upgrades and ongoing facility needs for our historic stage. This investment will allow us to continue creating a welcoming environment for audiences and performers alike, without having to delay essential improvements.
