This interactive workshop explores what makes farce and heightened comedy truly work on stage. Participants will learn how strong comedy is built on truth, clear objectives, escalating obstacles, and precise timing—not just jokes.


Using Commedia dell ’Arte archetypes, modern farce principles, and hands-on exercises, actors will:


*Learn how serious stakes create comedy


*Use archetypes to stay clear under pressure


*Build scenes through obstacles and escalation


*Strengthen timing, entrances, and exits


*Apply techniques through cold reads and scene work


Whether it's your first time to audition, or you're a seasoned pro--this class will help you feel more prepared and confident for Lend Me A Tenor auditions on January 3, 2026!
